Teaching Sessions
Week One
The Life-Saving Business
Jesus connected discipleship with evangelism when He called His followers to become “fishers of men” and commanded them to carry the gospel into the world. Through the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and lost son in Luke 15, Jesus reveals that every person matters to God and that reaching the lost requires priority, intentionality, persistence, and compassion.
Week Two
Ambassadors for Christ
According to 2 Corinthians 5, believers are Christ’s ambassadors, entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation and sent to represent Jesus in their families, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and communities. Prayer for the lost is essential, but it cannot replace the personal responsibility to go, speak, serve, and share the gospel, because people cannot believe in Jesus unless they first hear about Him.
Week Three
No More Excuses
This lesson emphasizes that every believer is the Church and has been strategically placed among family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors whom God wants to reach through them. Christians do not need perfect knowledge or flawless lives to witness; they simply need to share what Jesus has done, trust the Holy Spirit, and obey God despite fear or uncertainty.
Week Four
The Process of Salvation
Like first downs leading to a touchdown, each loving interaction, answered question, testimony, or invitation can move someone one step closer to faith in Jesus. People may be anywhere in their spiritual journey—from resistant or skeptical to receptive, seeking, ready to respond, or growing as a new believer—and God often uses many individuals to plant, water, and harvest along the way.
Week Five
Prayer
Since unbelief involves spiritual blindness, believers must depend on God to open people’s eyes, soften their hearts, reveal Jesus, and accomplish what human reasoning alone cannot. Believers should pray persistently without becoming discouraged, trusting that God is working even when results are not immediate and that faithful prayers may bear fruit many years later.
Week Six
Care
Like the Good Samaritan and Jesus Himself, believers must be willing to pause, accept interruptions, and compassionately enter the lives of hurting people. Acts of kindness, hospitality, patience, and respect can build relational bridges and open hearts to the truth of Christ, especially when people have experienced pain or developed negative views of Christianity.
Week Seven
Share
Jesus calls believers to be witnesses—not expert attorneys who can answer every question—so they can simply tell what they have seen, heard, and experienced through Christ. Because many people are already searching and spiritually ready, Christians must look beyond their own concerns, recognize the harvest around them, and courageously share the good news wherever God has placed them.
Week Eight
Where Do I Start?
God has intentionally placed each person in a particular time, location, and network of relationships, making everyday settings meaningful mission fields filled with opportunities to pray, care, and share. Believers should start locally but remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading beyond their normal routines, trusting that people may be more spiritually open than their outward appearance or immediate response suggests.
